Cron and automation

Run scheduled billing and lifecycle work reliably.

The launcher can run frequently; each task decides when it is due. CLI is preferred to web execution.

Reliability

The master cron uses advisory locks to stop overlaps. Major tasks record start, heartbeat, affected rows, result and sanitized errors. Batches limit database pressure.

  • Review Automation Status after installation or configuration changes.
  • Investigate stale/failed tasks instead of starting concurrent jobs.
  • Review Mail Queue for retryable delivery errors.
  • Keep billing timezone consistent with business cut-off times.
